Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant joins the lineup for Bonnaroo’s SuperJam to celebrate the music of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. He will be performing alongside Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Moon Taxi and more. Patrick Hallahan of My Morning Jacket and Craig Pfunder of VHS or Beta will lead the celebration.

Last night, Young the Giant returned to Irvine, California to perform an opening night show at FivePoint Amphitheater. The Irvine natives previously served as the support act for Gwen Stefani at the final two shows at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in October 2016, before the venue was taken down.

Today, Young the Giant released an EP consisting of two previously-unreleased tracks, ‘Mirrorball’ and ‘Mind Over Matter (Reprise).’  Both songs have been in the works since the release of their 2014 album, Mind Over Matter.

Following the continued success and excitement surrounding their Home of the Strange Tour, Young the Giant announced additional summer dates for August and September. Joining them on the tour will be Cold War Kids and Joywave.

In January, Young the Giant was joined by fans and talented virtual reality producers at the YouTube Space in LA to recreate the ‘Silvertongue’ music video in a live VR performance. The video was released today, with featured placement on YouTube’s Daydream platform.

Following the success of this year’s Home of the Strange Tour, Young the Giant announced additional dates for February and March 2017. Joining them on the tour next year will be Lewis Del Mar.

Recently, Young the Giant performed live for the renowned Emmy Award winning PBS series Live From The Artists Den at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, and the episode begins premiering this weekend on PBS. Check local listings and air times here, and watch the Facebook premiere here.

Young the Giant just released a behind the scenes look at the inspiration behind and creation of their newest album, Home of the Strange. Touching on the personal stories that helped shape the writing and recording of the album — each of the band members is either a first generation American or still holding a Green Card — the short documentary uses interview footage of each band member and video taken at the studio to trace back how the sound was shaped during the recording process.

Today, Young the Giant released their newest album, Home of the Strange, reaching #1 on the iTunes Alternative charts and #3 overall. The song “Repeat” also earned a spot on Spotify’s New Music Friday Playlist.
